Environmentally friendly project solutions
In the retail industry we are all too aware of the devasting effect that unsustainable and irresponsilbe foresty can have on our planet's precious resources
Retailers can only begin to lessen their impact on the environment if suppliers are dedicated to doing the same, and ensuring that you source wood products from well managed, sustainable forestd can go some way towards this goal.
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes (PEFC) stanads ensure that Geaves only source products from sustainable resources.
The FSC sets standards for forest management and promotes "environmentally appropriate socially beneficial and economicaly viable management of the world's forest.
Geaves Surface Solutions has obtained both FSC and PEFC chain of custody certificate.
Replicating natural materials on in-store surfaces
If you'd like to replicate the look of certain natural materials in-store but you want to mantain colour consistency and you don't want to pay through the nose (not to mentionthe environmental implications) there are solutions available.
We'ver recently helped one of our clients achieve a solid wood, tongue & groove effect on some wall panels. However they were concerned that if they used solid wood the could cause colour inconsistencies, either across different stores or when units were pushed together.
To resolve this issue Geaves have developed a new surface solution - a printed match. By taking a sample of the effect required, Geaves matched the texture and printed it on to colour core laminate, colour matched all the way through with the required tongue and groove effect. Therefore the colour was consistent throughout, unlike woth natural product or some veneers. There is also no risk of fading with this product.
Our Client was very happy both with the finish and the fact that this product was 25% more cost effective, and more environmentally friendly than the natural equivalent.
Colour matching your in-store surfaces
If you've found that the range of colours available for surface solutions is fairly limited, why not try a colour matching service?
Almost anything can be colour matched - for exampl a paint reference number, RAL, NCS, Pantone or Dulux reference number.
Geaves understands that you need to create a unique look and standout while staying true to your brand - therefore sometimes the standard surface colours available just won't do.
